Therapy with Simon

Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship? Struggling to communicate or rebuild trust with your partner? Maybe you’re carrying emotional weight that’s hard to name, let alone share. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m Simon Everest, a licensed therapist specializing in couple’s therapy, LGBTQ+ affirming care, trauma healing, and emotional wellness. My practice is built on warmth, safety, and compassion—because healing starts when you feel truly seen and heard.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

If you're like most people, you probably carry a lot—responsibilities, expectations, emotional pressure—and it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. Whether you're managing a major life transition, struggling to reconnect with your partner, or working through patterns that keep you stuck, therapy can offer the space to reflect, grow, and move forward.

In our work together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way of the life and relationships you want—and build tools to help you navigate it with confidence and clarity.

Areas of Specialty:

Couple’s Therapy

Relationships take work—and they don’t come with a manual. Whether you’re dating or married, monogamous or poly, I help couples and polycules improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research-backed approach grounded in attachment theory, which helps partners understand the deeper needs and patterns that shape their relationship. EFT is highly effective in helping couples move out of conflict and into connection. Our sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on creating lasting, meaningful change—both in how you relate to each other and how you feel in the relationship.

LGBTQ+ and Polyamory Affirming Therapy

Everyone deserves a space where they can be their full, authentic selves. I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships to navigate identity, relationships, family dynamics, and emotional resilience. Central to this work is building a healthy attachment to yourself and others—understanding how your past experiences shape your relationships, and learning how to create deeper, more secure connections moving forward.

Whether you're exploring your sexual orientation, gender identity, or managing the unique dynamics of non-monogamous relationships, we’ll focus on strengthening emotional bonds, building self-compassion, and fostering healthier communication. My practice is deeply inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in respect, ensuring that each person or relationship receives the support, understanding, and validation they deserve in a world that doesn’t always feel welcoming.

Emotional Wellness
Big feelings are part of being human—but they don’t have to run the show. If you often feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally reactive, we’ll work together to understand what’s beneath the surface. Using evidence-based techniques like mindfulness, emotion-focused therapy, and inner child work, we'll help you feel more grounded, empowered, and in control.

Trauma Healing with EMDR & Attachment-Focused Therapy

Trauma can leave deep emotional scars that affect how we connect with others and view ourselves. If you're carrying the weight of past experiences, whether from childhood, relationships, or major life events, it can feel overwhelming to move forward. I specialize in helping clients process and heal from trauma using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that is particularly effective in reducing the emotional charge of traumatic memories.

EMDR helps you reprocess memories in a way that reduces their emotional intensity, enabling you to integrate the experiences without being controlled by them. Paired with attachment-focused therapy, we’ll explore how early relationships may have shaped your current emotional world, and work together to create healthier patterns of connection, trust, and self-worth.

Whether it’s past trauma or ongoing emotional pain, healing is possible. My goal is to support you in reclaiming your life, so you can experience the freedom of living fully and authentically—without being held back by old wounds.

What You Can Expect

Clients often describe me as warm, nonjudgmental, and deeply present. I bring both clinical training and human compassion to each session—creating a space where honesty, humor, and healing can coexist.

I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve tried it before and you didn’t feel connected. That’s why I prioritize building a strong, authentic relationship from day one—because the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important predictors of positive change.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your relationship, work through trauma, or feel more emotionally balanced, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
